Ride Height Reference
Section titled “Ride Height Reference”Baseline is Front 476mm frame-to-floor / Rear 454mm frame-to-floor / 22mm rake.
Each 1mm of rake difference equals approximately 0.17° of pitch angle. The 22mm baseline rake equals approximately 3.7° total pitch.
Steering slop
Section titled “Steering slop”Play at the wheel is a known characteristic, and how much you have depends on how old your car is. Later cars are noticeably better, because they ship with a steering rack we now design and build in-house rather than sourcing.
If the slop in your car is getting worse rather than simply being there, that is a different problem and worth inspecting. A rack that has always felt slightly vague on an early car is the known behaviour.
Talk to your dealer about what is available for your chassis before you start replacing parts on your own diagnosis.
